Nature infused Artificial Landscape incorporates natural and constructed elements. Nature attracts biodiversity and is uncontrollable. Indigenous materials help us perceive nature. Contrarily, artificial landscapes are picturesque, structured, and produced to create dictated human interaction.

As we progress we lose a part of nature. The aim is to immerse people into nature inside the city. It is an amalgamation of many forms of nature.

The Gateway Mall in Downtown St. Louis brings people towards the Gateway Arch and the river through a green corridor which is located along the central axis in the symbolic space of Downtown St Louis.

The Unnatural Greenway will create a connection between the north and the south directions of the Gateway Mall. This will be accomplished by a continuous ribbon of spaces which depict the different types of landscapes that people understand as nature. This project aims to combine and negotiate the relationship between the things that are alive and things that are made.

In terms of human perception nature symbolizes freedom and beauty. The unnatural greenway is a project that enhances educational, recreational, aesthetic, and biodiversity value of the Gateway Mall. The natural landscape of St Louis transformed into several forms with the addition of artificial infrastructure at each step. The picturesque was transformed to geometric however the people have immersed into the unnatural nature inside the city.
